Our Engineering
Team
Structural engineers, NDT specialists, inspection engineers and project supervisors — all working in-house, under one roof, with one point of accountability.
One Team.
Full Capability.
New Nordic's engineering team is structured around four core disciplines — structural inspection, NDT testing, design and supervision — all operating in-house. This integrated approach eliminates the coordination delays and accountability gaps that arise when clients must manage multiple separate firms.
Our inspection engineers are trained across visual assessment methods, defect identification and structural condition rating. The NDT team operates all in-house equipment and processes results internally — no third-party data interpretation. The design team handles structural strengthening from initial concept to stamped drawing. The supervision team provides on-site oversight of remediation works.
From initial assessment through testing, reporting, certification and remediation — every discipline is available internally, managed under a single accountable structure.

Team Capabilities
Four specialist functions — each with defined expertise, operating within one integrated team.
Inspection Team
Comprehensive visual structural assessments of buildings. Defect identification, condition rating, structural crack mapping and documented findings ready for report production.
NDT Team
In-house NDT testing across GPR, UPV, rebound hammer, half-cell potential and impact-echo. Data processed internally for faster turnaround and direct engineer interpretation.
Design Team
Structural strengthening design from concept to stamped drawing. ETABS and SAP2000 analysis. FRP, post-tensioning and conventional reinforced concrete strengthening systems.
Supervision Team
On-site supervision of structural remediation and strengthening works. Quality assurance, compliance checking and interim progress reporting throughout execution.
In-House Equipment &
Technology
All key NDT equipment is owned and operated by the New Nordic team. No subcontractors — every test is carried out by our engineers, with results processed in-house.
Why In-House Matters
When equipment is owned in-house, mobilization is faster, results are processed by engineers who performed the tests, and there is no third-party interpretation layer between the data and the structural report.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
In-HouseRebar detection, void identification, delamination mapping and embedded object location without concrete breaking.
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV)
In-HouseConcrete homogeneity assessment, internal crack detection and quality variation measurement through pulse transmission.
Rebound Hammer
In-HouseSurface hardness testing for preliminary concrete strength estimation across large areas rapidly and cost-effectively.
Half-Cell Potential
In-HouseProbability mapping of active rebar corrosion — essential for durability assessment and service life prediction in Gulf environment conditions.
Impact-Echo
In-HouseDelamination, void and internal crack detection in concrete slabs and walls through stress wave propagation analysis.
Concrete Core Drilling Equipment
In-HousePhysical core extraction for laboratory compressive strength, chloride content and carbonation depth analysis to ASTM C42 and C1152.
Laboratory Analysis Equipment
Accredited LabCompressive strength, chloride penetration, carbonation depth and petrographic analysis processed through accredited laboratory partners.
Structural Analysis Software — ETABS / SAP2000
SoftwareIndustry-standard FEM structural analysis software for strengthening design, load capacity verification and structural modelling.
